By accessing or using The Herbariums ("the app", "the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

The Herbariums is a personal plant management application that allows users to track their plant collections, manage care schedules, research plant species, and find inspiration for their indoor gardens. The service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising.

3. User Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
  • Upload content that is offensive, harmful, or infringes on any third-party rights.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you upload (photos, notes, etc.). By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content.

6. Advertising

The Herbariums is supported by advertising, including ads served by Google AdSense. By using the service, you acknowledge that you may see advertisements. You agree not to click on ads in a manner intended to artificially inflate ad revenue.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code that is part of The Herbariums (excluding user-uploaded content) is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the service without our written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Plant care information provided in the app is for general guidance only and should not replace professional horticultural advice. We make no guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or any content within it.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
